Welcome to the Idaho State Bar’s ExamSoft Web Site!

You have been directed to this site because you have submitted a Laptop Registration Form and fee to the Idaho State Bar to take the essay portion of the bar examination on your laptop computer using SofTest.  Using SofTest, you will download exam files for your essay examination answers prior to test day and upload your essay answers after the examination using the Internet.  You will not need Internet connectivity during your examination.  You will need Internet connectivity prior to test day to download exam files and immediately following the examination to upload your essay answers.   


Please Note:  All new and reexamination applicants must submit the July 2014 form and fee in order to receive the necessary information for the SofTest registration process.

SofTest Registration signup period begins April 14, 2014, and ends June 15, 2014, at 11:59 PM MDT for the July 2014 Idaho Bar Examination.  This process must be completed each time you register to take the bar examination, regardless of any ExamSoft registrations that you may have completed previously.

Applicants who have not installed the software, registered and qualified within this time frame will not be allowed to use a laptop computer for the essay examination.  Contact ExamSoft Client Support by email at BarSupport@examsoft.com, at http://support.examsoft.com or by phone at 866-429-8889 if you have any problems.  Complete sign-up and registration instructions follow.

Please Note:  If you will not be using the registered computer on examination day, contact ExamSoft Client Support by email at BarSupport@examsoft.com or  by phone at 866-429-8889.  Failure to do so may result in your having to hand write the examination.  Also, do not un-install SofTest until after you receive your examination results!  

SofTest can be used on virtually any modern computer (i.e. purchased within the last 3-4 years). For specific system requirements, please click on Minimum System Requirements above.

 
ExamSoft – SofTest is available for both PC and Mac!

 
Please complete the following mandatory requirements within the time frame given above:


1. Sign Up – Log on to http://www.examsoft.com/idbar and login with the assigned ID and password in the Exam Takers section in the upper left of the page.

2. Install – Download and Install SofTest on the laptop you will use on exam day! There is a $50 administrative fee if you wish to re-download.

3. Register – Enter your ID and password into SofTest to register your copy.

4. Download Exam Files and Mock Exam – Exam Files and the Mock exam will be automatically downloaded to your computer after successfully registering SofTest.

5. Qualify – Complete and Upload the Mock examination. Failure to complete the mock exam may prevent you from being able to use your computer on exam day.

6. Equipment – You will be required to access the Internet following each examination session to upload your answers. 

 

This process must be completed each time you register to take the bar examination, regardless of any previous SofTest registrations you may have completed for this bar examination or any other examination.
