AGC Certificate of Management—Building Information Modeling (CM-BIM)
Welcome to the AGC Certificate of Management—Building Information Modeling (CM-BIM) assessment. CM-BIM is a certificate credential that denotes knowledge and understanding of concepts related to BIM adoption, practice and process transformation outlined in the AGC BIM Education Program. Successful candidates will carry the CM-BIM designation. Please see the appropriate Candidate Guide for detailed information needed to prepare for the CM-BIM exam. This exam is offered virtually. Prescheduled in-seat exams are available depending on specified locations and geographic regions.
- Read the attached CM-BIM Candidate Guide.
- You will receive an email from ExamSoft Worldwide, the testing software firm, who will provide you your login information and instructions to download the testing software (SoftTest) to your laptop computer (for in-seat exam takers, you must bring this laptop to the testing center on exam day).
- Log In – Visit www.examsoft.com/agc and login under the Exam Takers section in the upper left corner.
- Check Equipment – Make certain your computer meets the minimum system requirements.
- Pay the Exam Fee – On initial login, read the payment disclaimer telling you the cost of the CM-BIM Credential Fee, which includes your SofTest license and the additional conditions required to obtain one. Click on the checkbox stating that your computer meets the minimum system requirements. (It is your responsibility to make sure that your affirmation is valid.) Payments are made to AGC of America prior to being assigned to an exam.
- Watch the training videos for SofTest (5 minutes).
- Install SofTest – Download and install SofTest on the laptop you will be using on exam day.(NO EXCEPTIONS).
- Register SofTest – Enter your ID# and password when prompted to register.
- Launch SofTest and Take Mock Exam 3rd Edition BIM – Complete the Mock Exam and upload the answer file. You will receive a confirmation email when we receive your Mock Exam answer file. The Mock Exam password is "MOCK3BIM".
- If you experience any technical issues during the Mock Exam or are not able to confirm the upload of your AGC Mock Exam answers, contact ExamSoft prior to taking the CM-BIM exam.
- Review the Exam Day Information section, and for in-seat exam takers, bring your laptop to your testing site on exam day.
- Virtual exam takers need to have their laptop battery and power cord. In-seat exam takers should arrive on your scheduled test day at the AGC test center 30 minutes before the scheduled test time with your laptop, laptop battery and power cord.
