We administer examinations at SUNY Downstate following guidelines of the National Board of Medical Examiners. Our goal is to ensure that all students have a consistent and fair environment in which to demonstrate the knowledge gained during a course or rotation. Follow directions given by proctors and do not hesitate to call attention to issues that affect the examination environment.
As a reminder: when taking exams, you may have paper that we provide you as you come into the exam and a pencil or pen. All other materials, electronic devices, must be stored and put away. Remember to turn off cell phones, pagers or other electronic devices and leave them in your backpacks. If you need to take a break, you may do so, however, your total exam time will not be extended.
