Information includes:
All students per course will receive an exam available download email for each ExamSoft eligible exam. If you prefer to use bluebook, simply ignore the email. Make sure you have the latest version of the testing software installed on your laptop. New software is released on the 1st of September for the new academic year. All previous versions are expired and will not work. You will need to upgrade at the beginning of each academic year.

Enter your ExamSoft credentials which were emailed to you. (Note if you do not have this, enter your eRaider username into the Student ID: block and click on the Lost Student ID or Password? link and follow the instructions.

Read the disclaimer and follow the instructions
Read the Laptop User Agreement prior to the exam. You will be asked to certify that you have read and agree to the terms and conditions of this agreement before downloading and installing the software and during the exam startup process.
By downloading, installing, and using this software for taking exams, I certify that I have read and agree to the terms and conditions outlined in the Texas Tech University School of Law Laptop User Agreement. If you have not read this document or do not agree to all the terms and conditions outlined in this document, do not continue downloading, installing or using Softest.
Prior to Exam Day

I will monitor my TTU email account (including junk folder) for exam availability notices and other exam information. If needed, I will add ExamSoft emails to my safe senders list.

I will have the most recent version of the exam software installed, registered and tested

I will have the appropriate exam downloaded to my laptop prior to entering the exam room.

I will verify the reliability of my laptop including updates. Exam start times will not be delayed to troubleshoot, fix hardware or software problems, download exams, or install any updates or patches. These problems will not be fixed in the exam room.

I will understand how to disable my anti-virus software to avoid compatibility issues during the exam.

On Exam Day

I must bring a reliable AC adapter

I will bring an Ethernet cable if my computer has a wired Ethernet port. If my laptop has wireless only access, I will assure my wireless is working properly.

I will show up at least 15 minutes prior to exam time.

I will immediately follow the instructions for beginning the exam (Provided in exam room)

If my exam software does not start in a timely manner and I am instructed by the exam monitor to hand write the exam, I will immediately store my laptop and begin hand writing the exam.

If I arrive after the exam has started, or too late to successfully begin the exam software before exam start time, I am no longer eligible to use my laptop and will hand write the exam.
During the Exam

Prior to starting the Examplify, disable your anti-virus software to avoid compatibility issues during the exam.

If the computer locks up or experiences typing delays or other problems during the exam the computer can be restarted by powering off the computer and powering back on (rebooting).

It is your option to try one reboot. If the computer does not reenter the exam after one reboot, immediately begin writing your exam. You may begin writing where you left off on your typed exam.
Ending the Exam
- I will follow the instructions on the Ending the Exam flier (provided in exam room) and ensure a successful upload.
